Design Sequence
This assignment helped us to visualize every aspect of design, and how important it is to include everything during the preliminary stages. The integrated systems section describes how all the trades need to work together to construct a superior product. Especially with a project with such a strict timeline like this one, the design needs to be ideally perfect in order for construction to have the least amount of hiccups. No system can be left until the end of the design and just added in, the systems wouldn't flow. For example, the radient heated floor in the concrete slab, if that wasn't added in during the prefabrication, it wouldn't be able to be added at all. All the trades need to work together and be updated on each other's progress in order for things to flow smoothly, and this is up to the design engineers and architects to keep things in order and make sure all the trades have the latest and greatest drawings.
