The electrical system for Lancaster square consists of power being fed underground from PECO. The incoming electric service is a 13.2 KV, 3 wire feed line. This power is distributed to five transformers located on the site to distribute the power accordingly. Below you can see the line diagram for the power distribution.
The first item illustrated in red is the feed line to the transformer, this can be seen entering the building and being distributed to the separate transformers here. Three of the substations are located in the lower level and contain the power source for the apartments as well as the retail shops on the first floor. The final feeder lines go to the roof and services the mechanical penthouse.
The next element outlined in the line diagram is the power following the transformers, here the power is converted to 208/120V/3 Wire for the apartment transformers and 480/277 V/3 phase for the retail shops and the mechanical systems. The retail system also supplies some of the mechanical systems placed on upper level floors as well.
